When assembled they are sturdy enough and look quite nice. Assembly is uncomplicated and requires only a Phillips screwdriver and provided allen wrench, maybe a hex nut driver to really tighten down the seats, but pliers or an adjustable wrench will do. The top is very slick, the seats are as comfortable as my custom pedestal bar stools and you just can't beat the low price. The table was sturdy enough for me and my daughter. The table was a bit wobbly so I ended up having to place a bit of padding under one of the legs to keep the table stationary. Once I did that, the wobbling stopped and the table was great. One thing I did notice, over time I had to re-tighten the screws in the chairs. This may have had something to do with them swiveling. Either way, I loved this table. I eventually gave it away after my sister and her daughter moved in with me. My niece was two at the time and kept trying to scale the thing like it was a mountain. Obviously that caused the table to tip over on her and since I had stained concrete floors, I decided to give away this table. BUT I do miss it. 2 of 3 people found the following review helpful Different color than I thought but love it!, November 29, 2010 This review is from: 3 Piece Chrome Retro Style Bar Table Set - Table And 2 Stools This picture looks red, and the company said they were going to change it, but I guess they didn't. I thought it was a dark red color. It came in black, I called the company and they were very accomodating because I had placed a negative review here. It was VERY easy to put together and it fits great in my small kitchen. It is bigger than I thought it would be, but it works fine in the area I have for it. I ordered 2 more bar stools for it because the two it comes with were not enough for the large table. Keep in mind when ordered additional stools, these are 30" and we ordered 29" for the 2 additional stools because we could not find 30". It still looks great!
