After putting the table together we saw there was a crack along one whole side of the top - bad enough that you could actually move it up and down. I had a glass top from a previous table, so we put that on top but I was very concerned about the stability of the tabletop. Knowing that I couldn't box up the damnaged top and ship it back, I send an email detaling the damage, but didn't expect any action on my complaint. To my great surprise, I received a reply quickly and was given a number to call to get another tabletop delivered to me at no cost. What a wonderful service. I have received the second tabletop and now can use my table without fear of part of it falling apart. We purchased the Home Styles Wood Dining Table and 2 sets of side chairs. I was a little nervous making such a purchase online, but I knew these looked like the style I wanted and I was unable to find anything like them locally. I'm so glad I made the purchase. They are all so nice. They are solid, sturdy pieces. I love the contrast between the black and oak. The table and chairs really look like high end pieces. It took my husband about an hour to put together the table and four chairs. Definately worth the price. Love this item! |
