Thru Prime...arrived within 24hrs...but the fedex box was damaged alot. When we opened it it wasn't scratched or dented and we got excited!! Then when we really looked at the table it was off center by 1 and 1/2"... we decided to keep it when trying to attach the legs to the table the predrilled holes were totally stripped...had to take it apart and send it back! Amazon.com was wonderful and had a label for return at our door next day...and took a chance and reordered! Second table arrived in a day and the box was really damaged again. Table wasn't damaged and the top wasn't as of center, but when we went to put it together again, same problem...we are so disappointed!!!! Love, love the table and are going to try and go to the hardware store for a solution for the stripped predrilled hole...don't want to break it down, rebox, and send for a 3rd table...being as this is the same problem on each table tells us that 'Coasters'... The table is awesome. See picture with chevron dining benches. It's perfect for our very narrow limited space, we have a brand new Washington, DC rowhouse-style townhome. It was easy to put together, about less than 30 minutes. But it took me an hour to unpack and pull off the staples underneath the table top. YES, the chrome legs and everything were strapped onto the table by straps that were STAPLED to the bottom of the table top. I had to pry off each staple. There were about 50 heavy duty staples under there. I even hit my tooth as I yanked off each staple off the wooden bottom. So the table looks fine, but if you look underneath there are several holes from the staples. You have to order the chairs seperate which comes to about 75.00 for a set of two. Therefore, I ended up paying 455.00 for the table, chairs and delivery of the set. Nevertheless, the set is exactly how it tooks in the picture. However, it is a little on the small side. I really love the set, I just wish it was bigger, especially taller. |
