It was in perfect condition. It's very solid, strong, easy to put together, and ideal for a desk as well as for a dining table. I'm using it as a desk. The finish is soft and pleasant to work on. What I received was 1) not even remotely what was pictured on amazon and 2) cannot be described as turned legs by any definition. Truly disappointing and if it weren't such a pain in my a** to do so, this table would be returned immediately for a refund. The two stars are for sturdiness, quality of table, and ease of assembly.
